STUDENT GUIDELINES FOR C-PRINT
Guidelines
C-Print is a computer-aided speech-to-print transcription system that provides real-time access to some deaf and hard of hearing students. A trained C-Print captionist is provided to produce text of the spoken information in class using a laptop computer with specialized software. The text is then displayed simultaneously to one or more students by way of a laptop that is provided to them by Accessibility and Testing. This allows the student to have real-time access to the information in class as well as a meaning-for-meaning transcript of the text for later use as notes.
