Steps to Register

In order to register for services at the DRC, please complete the following steps

The student application is available online. The application contains a series of questions designed to provide more information about your diagnosis, current academic impacts, previously used accommodations, and requested accommodations for UGA.  You should receive an email confirmation upon submission of your application. If you do not receive an email, please contact our office.

Note: If you require this application in an alternative format, please use the PDF version: Student Application Alternate Form

Documentation is needed to establish the nature of a student’s disability, as well as the academic impact, in order to support the requested accommodations.  Please review the Documentation Guidelines.

Documentation can be submitted electronically via the AIM Student Portal, or by emailing  Paper copies can be submitted by fax at 706-542-7719, or in person at Clark Howell Hall / 825 South Lumpkin St.

Once you have completed your application, it will be reviewed by the DRC Intake Team. If any additional information is needed, we will follow up via your UGA email address. This review process can take time; if you have any questions about the status of your application, you can always contact our office.

Once the review process is complete, you will be assigned to a disability coordinator. They will contact you via email to schedule an initial interview. This is where you will discuss accommodations in more detail and develop a plan for putting them into place.
