Biographical Info

Jessi Walker graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Linguistics in 2018, after which her continued fascination with different forms of communication and language led to an interest in the captioning field. She first joined Accessibility and Testing as a Captioning and C-Print Assistant in 2019 before becoming a full-time part of the Captioned Media team in 2021. She supports Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing students by adding captions to instructional media for a variety of courses as well as typing real-time transcriptions of class lectures, both remotely and in person.
