Registering Service Animals
This information is for students who, due to a disability, require the use of a trained service animal. If you are looking for information on registering service animals in training, visit Registering Service Animals in Training.
If you require the use of a service animal that has been trained to perform tasks for you because of a disability, you are not required to register your service animal, but you may choose to do so. The benefit of registration is that you may be less likely to be questioned about your service animal’s presence in UGA facilities if they are wearing a registration tag. However, registration is entirely voluntary.
If you choose to register your service animal, please contact Accessibility and Testing at 706-542-8719 to speak with a service animal coordinator about completing the registration process.
