Student Guidelines for Notetakers
The purpose of the notetaker accommodation is to ensure you are receiving additional notes from classes. Please continue to take your own notes and incorporate with the notes from the notetaker. These notes are for your personal use only; do not distribute them to other students.
To request a notetaker for a class, sign into your DRC AIM Online Portal to submit accommodation requests and select the notetaker accommodation. You will be notified via your UGA student email account when a notetaker has been recruited.
Your notetaker will upload your class notes through the DRC AIM Online Portal, and you will access them there. Do not attempt to arrange another delivery method with your notetaker. If you have a disability-related need to receive notes by some other method, you must meet with your coordinator and be approved for alternate delivery.
Once you receive notification that a notetaker has been recruited, login to your DRC AIM Online Portal and select “Notetaking Services” under the My Accommodations box on the left side of the page to access notes posted by the notetaker. If you have concerns about your notetaker or how to access the notes, contact your DRC coordinator immediately.
Regular class attendance is required to receive this accommodation. If it is determined that you are not attending class regularly, your access to class notes in AIM may be limited. Notify your DRC coordinator immediately if you drop or withdraw from the class.
If you are approved for notetakers as an accommodation, even if you are not actively using notetakers, you may not be a notetaker for another student.
Notetaking services are confidential. This information should only be shared with your professor.
