Ambassadors
The Ambassadors (formerly called Speakers Bureau) are a student group that serves the campus and community through leadership and outreach. Using disability education and advocacy as a framework, Ambassadors foster civic responsibility, community building, and self-advocacy as they share their stories, experiences, and knowledge of their disability with others. Participants learn about organizing information, how to tailor presentations to diverse audiences, and how to employ persuasive speaking techniques. Ambassadors also have the opportunity to contribute to panels and presentations aimed at educating the campus community about disability issues.
Students currently registered with Accessibility and Testing are eligible to join the Ambassadors. Students interested in becoming members can email drc-outreach@uga.edu for more information.
Date: Biweekly on Tuesdays (schedule usually announced after drop/add)
Time: 5:30-6:30 PM
Location: Clark Howell Hall, Room 119

Leadership & Collaboration
