Disability Specialist David Anderson
David Anderson graduated from the University of Georgia in 1998 with a degree in Social Science Education. In May 2000 he completed a M.Ed. in Rehabilitation Counseling at the University of Georgia. David began working part-time for the Disability Resource Center in the summer of 1996. As a student worker David worked in the accommodations office and surveyed the campus to assure architectural access for students. In his current position, David works with students to provide the accommodations necessary to assure equal access. He has a special interest in facilitating the ADHD support group and feels strongly about the important role of peer support. Architectural accessibility is another area of expertise David has developed over the past few years. He is currently conducting a comprehensive study of accessibility on campus utilizing the Americans with Disabilities Act Accessibility Guidelines.
