Procedure for making a Relay Call
- Call the Relay Service with the number found in the front pages of the telephone book.
- You will hear or see a typed "Relay Service. CA#. May I have the number you are calling, please?"
- Tell the CA the telephone number you want to call.
- While your call is being relayed, talk or type as though you are speaking directly to the person you called. The CA will relay your conversation.
- Each time you finish speaking or typing, say "Go Ahead" or type "GA" to let the CA know you are ready for the other person to respond.
- When you are done with your call, if you want to make another call, don't hang up. The CA will be ready to place your next call.
