Services for Students with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is indicated by three characteristics of behavior: hyperactivity, impulsivity, and inattention. People with ADHD may exhibit one or more of the characteristics. Research has shown that ADHD lies on a continuum and may affect the academic performance of students in different ways. The Disability Resource Center has a staff of professional disability specialists that work with students who have ADHD to provide reasonable and appropriate accommodations.
